COVID Years

When Covid hit in 2020, I was in the process of playing with the Rafters and Kozmic Cowboy. I was also writing a lot of songs in my studio and farming out vocals to others and getting other musicians to come and play on my songs. Well things changed. All of a sudden, bands were no longer an option as was having musicians over to record. I was on my own. So with the help of Paul Cox, I learned how to share songs remotely on Pro Tools so I could send my song to other musicians, they could add their parts and send them back for me to mix. A virtual remote band if you will.

With the help of my multi instrumentalist friend and bandmate, Rick Thompson, I was able to start creating songs as he added keyboards, synths, organ and vocals to my already developed guitar, bass, and drums (the handy dandy drum machine).  It was a game changer.

Because of our isolation, I had lots of time in the studio to create and challenged myself to write at least one song a week and I did that for over a year. This was when I really developed my song writing skills. Rick Thompson became a huge mentor to me and a teacher on melodies, writing, and recording….all virtually. His feedback and instruction helped me develop my singing voice.

My Trilogy of Songs is an eclectic collection of songs that I have written, played, sang, recorded, mixed and mastered.  These songs were all started and completed within a 3 year time frame spanning the years 2022-24. The trilogy is 3 different groups of songs.  The first section is called The Seeker, the second section is called The Impossible Tree, and the third is called Point in Life. Each section contains 11 songs totally 33 total songs.

My working partner in recording these songs was Rick Thompson, who handled all the piano, B3, and synthesizers. Rock Romano helped with the backing vocals and overall great support on the production and mixing.  Glen Kozielec had some awesome guitar lead work on a few songs and Paolo Castagnoli laid down some percussion on a few songs also.

The sacred trio

The word Trilogy originates from the Greek word trilogia, meaning "series of three related tragedies performed at Athens at the festival of Dionysus."

A trilogy is a set of three distinct works that are connected and can be seen either as a single work or as three individual works. In spiritual teachings, the number 3 represents the trinity of mind, body and spirit.

The number 3 has always held powerful symbolism. Think about good things coming in 3s, the birth-life-death cycle, the mind-body-soul connection, the 3 acts of a typical story. Wherever the number 3 shows up in your life, it's generally an omen of creativity, communication, optimism, and curiosity!

The angel number 3 is a number of true potential and harmony. Known as the master builder, this dream digit can show up on your radar when your guardian angels want you to connect with your inner growth and internal wisdom and manifest the life you want to live.

If you keep seeing angel number 3, you should consider that your angels are reaching out across the divide with a powerful message that is relevant to where you are now.

The trilogy symbol is one of the unity of body, mind and spirit. The symbol is of universal significance – it is found throughout history and all over the world.
